Oven Baked Ribs

By Ange's Table

Good morning! How has your week been?

I hope that you are all well, practicing social distancing, and remembering to wash your hands.

Today I want to share my secret for the most amazing ribs.  Are you ready???  I cook them FROZEN!  Yes, you read that right.  Frozen.

So how this came about was actually by accident.  One day, I wanted ribs.  Like really badly.  And I forgot to take some out of the freezer.  So I thought, why not cook it from frozen?  So I did it.  I gave the ribs a generous shaking of my BBQ rub, wrapped them up in tin foil, and set them in the oven.  Holy Moly!!  Did those ribs turn out fantastic.  So ladies and gentlemen, that is what I do now.

Go ahead, give it a try.  I dare you!

Oven Baked Ribs

  • 1/2 rack Baby Back Ribs
  • 2 Tbsp BBQ Rub

Preheat oven to 300’F.

Lay out 2 overlapping pieces of tin foil, long enough to wrap up your ribs.

Generously shake rub all over ribs.

Wrap in foil.

Bake in oven 2-3 hours, until you can see the meat pull up from the side of the bone.

Open foil, raise oven temperature to 450’F.  Bake  10-15 minutes until the top gets a nice crust.
