Hello there. How’s it going for you today? I hope that you and yours have a wonderful Memorial Day!
I have to tell you, I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what to call today’s recipe. It could be considered a sausage meat, but Taco Sausage didn’t sound right. And just Taco Meat doesn’t give it justice either.
This Ground Chicken Taco is in a class all by itself. You don’t just add ground meat to a pan and season it. You grind the chicken yourself, and add the veg and seasons to the processor. So it all becomes one. One of the most bestest things you will eat. Promise!

Ground Chicken Taco
- 1 1/2 lb chicken breast, skinless and boneless
- 2 tsp seasoned salt mix
- 1/2 medium Vidalia onion
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsp olive oil, plus more for cooking
- 2 Tbsp taco seasoning
Cut your chicken breast into pieces that will fit easily into your food processor. Pulse several times to chop.
Add in onion and garlic. Pulse until everything is completely combined.
Add in seasoning and oil. Pulse several times to combine.
You can freeze at this point, or cook.
If cooking, add a drizzle of oil to bottom of a heavy bottom pan, then add in the chicken mixture.
Using the back of your spoon, break up the chicken mixture into bite sized pieces.
Cook until no longer pink, 10-15 minutes.
Enjoy!
