Taco Tuesday, or any day really

Happy Ash Wednesday all.  I hope you had a fat Fat Tuesday.  We had Taco Tuesday here.  And let me tell you, it was delicious.

I love finger foods.  Anything that you can eat with your hands, and make a mess is my kind of meal.  I just love when you have a good burger with juices dripping down your arm, or loaded nacho chips that are a balancing act to get to my face.

Or this taco meat, that you can have loads of different ways.  Traditional tacos, or nachos, in a burrito, or simply on a plate.  This way I can use my fork to shovel it in my face faster. Nice.

Taco seasoning

So what do you do when you crave tacos?  Make taco seasoning of course.  Those pre-packaged jammies have too much additives anyway.  My family loves this spice mix, and I know your family will love it too!!

Taco Seasoning

  • 1/4 cup dark chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp chipotle powder
  • 1 Tbsp Seasoned Salt Mix

Mix all ingredients in a jar.  Shake to combine.  

Use 2 Tbsp per pound of meat. 

Brown your meat with onions, add in taco seasoning with garlic. Combine and cook until onions are soft and meat is no longer pink.

Remember to serve with your favorite chips, taco shells and toppings.
