Hello and good morning to you all!
How has your week been so far? I am doing well here, trying my hardest to build up Ange’s Table. I appreciate each and every one of you that are supporting me out there!! Is there something that you all would like? A specific recipe? To talk about a certain topic?
I really do love hearing from all of you, whether it is here on the blog, or on Facebook or Instagram. Thank you for all of the love and well wishes!
And to show you all how much you mean to me, I have a Death By Chocolate Cake for you. 😉

Death By Chocolate Cake
For the Ganache:
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
For the Cake:
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup palm shortening
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup coconut flour, sifted
- 1/4 cup cacao powder, sifted
- 1 1/2 tsp gluten free baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350’F. Grease cake pans, set aside.
Mix dry ingredients well, set aside.
Cream the shortening and sugar together. Add eggs in one at a time.
Turn off the mixer, add in the dry. Turn on very slowly, mix in the dry ingredients.
Add in vanilla.
Turn mixer to medium high speed, mix for 1 minute to incorporate air to the batter.
Pour half of the batter into each pan.
Bake 10 minutes, rotate pans. Cook additional 8-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean.
Cool in pans 30 minutes, then turn out onto cooling rack. Cool completely.
Place ganache ingredients in heat safe bowl. Melt together, set aside. Keep it warm.
Place a small dollop of ganache on cake plate to help hold the cake in place. Put your first cake layer on the cake plate.
Add 1/2 cup of ganache to first cake layer. Spread out evenly.
Place second cake layer on ganache. Pour the rest of ganache onto cake. Use a spatula to spread out evenly, letting some run down the sides of the cake.
Cool until ganache is firm enough to cut.
Enjoy!
This cake is so chocolatey, and yummy. All you need is a small slice, and you are in chocolate heaven.
