Turkey Nuggets Two Ways

By Ange's Table

Hello there.  Happy Last Saturday of August.

Wow, this month just flew by.

Today I have Turkey Nuggets for you, done two different ways.  Personally, I think they are both great options.  But if I had to choose just one, I have to go with Ground Turkey Nuggets.  The flavor is exactly the same in both options, I just like the texture of the ground meat recipe.

Will you make both options?  Which one will you prefer?

Either option you choose, Turkey Tender Nuggets, or Ground Turkey Nuggets, you will have a delicious and nutritious nugget to serve to your family.  Made with whole grain oat flour, protein packed chickpea flour and lean turkey, these Turkey Nuggets will satisfy so many dietary needs.

Turkey Nuggets, Two Ways

Turkey Tender Nuggets

  • 1 1/2 lbs turkey tenderloins, slightly pounded flat and cut into 1 inch pieces

Ground Turkey Nuggets

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt mix
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp chickpea flour

Mix all ingredients well, portion out into 1 Tbsp balls.  Flatten slightly into a nugget type shape.

Breading Station for either variety

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and salt mix.

In a seaparate large bowl, mix the flour, salt and adobo seasoning.

Dip the turkey in egg mixture, then in flour mixture.  Pat down gently to make sure the oat flour mixture sticks to the turkey.

Lay on air fryer tray.  Repeat with remaining pieces of turkey.

Spray the nuggets with a high quality olive oil spray.  Air fry 12-15 minutes until the nuggets are golden brown and the turkey is cooked through.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Enjoy!

Both of these Turkey Nugget options are so delicious.  Which will you choose?
