Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Happy Wednesday all.  How has your week been going?   Do you have a mask to wear while out in public?  Not touching your face? We are all washing our hands with soap and water, yes? GREAT!!

I want to remind you all to keep up with fresh fruits and veggies.  Eat the rainbow every day to get in all the nutrients we need to stay healthy during this time.  And any time really.  Our best defense it to be proactive.  Smoothies  are a great way to get more fruits and vegetables in our diet, in a delicious way.

Do you wake up hungry?  I usually don’t.  I  need to be up for a while, before I can think of eating. 

Now don’t get me wrong, I love breakfast foods.  Eggs, bagels, pancakes, waffles, now I’m getting hungry…….But today, its a smoothie.  I don’t get all fancy with collagen, or protein powders in my smoothies.  I use fruit, oat milk, ice and some add ins.  Today I added in chocolate chips, and shredded coconut. 

It feels like dessert for breakfast.  So yummy.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 4-5 strawberries, washed and trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp dairy free chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp shredded coconut
  • 4 oz ice
  • Fill with oat milk, about 1 cup (I use @pacificfoods )

Add items to your blender.  Process until smooth.  Enjoy!

I make smoothies for breakfast a lot.  Especially during the week.  It is quick, filling and delicious.
