Stove Top Brussels Sprouts

By Ange's Table

Hello last Saturday of March.  This month went by so fast.  We are almost in my 40th birthday month.

I hope that with all of this craziness going on, my husband and I will still be able to bring our camper to the mountains for the season.  Sitting by the fire, minimal internet service, relaxation.  My happy time.

But not today.  Today is still reality, with chores and laundry.  Ah, the fun life of being an adult.  I really think I am done with this.  I feel like I’ve been an adult for enough years, I should get a few kid years thrown back in.  Then in 18 years, I’ll be an adult again.  Cool?

Go make these Brussels.  It will make any kid or adult happy.

Trim your sprouts. Cut the larger in half
I like to slice my garlic for Brussels Sprouts
Melt the bacon fat in the pan
Place the sprouts cut side down, then walk away!
Once they get nice and brown on the cut side, add garlic and mix well.
Cover and cook on med-low
So good!

Stove top Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 14oz bag, trimmed and cut in half
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1- 1 1/2 tsp Salt Mix
  • 2 Tbsp bacon fat

Trim the Brussels sprouts, cutting the larger in half.

Add fat to the pan, place the sprouts cut side down in the melted fat.

Cook 5-7 minutes.  Do not stir in this time.  We want to get a nice dark brown color on this cut side.

Once brown, add in sliced garlic and Salt Mix.

Cover, cook on med-low about 8 minutes, until the Brussels are fork tender.

These come out so buttery and tender.  I know your family will enjoy them as much as I do.
