Onion Rings Anyone

By Ange's Table

Who doesn't love an onion ring, right?

Happy Hump Day everyone!!

It is a sunny day here in Staten Island.  A balmy 48 degrees.  Come on summer.  I can almost see you there!!!  Hanging out in the back yard.  Putting some burgers and dogs on the grill.  And making a batch of my super easy, super yummy onion rings.  Did I mention they are Beer Battered Onion Rings?  And they are gluten and dairy free? And delicious?  Go ahead, try to eat just one.

5/5

Beer Battered Onion Rings

  • 3 onions
  • 1 bottle gluten free beer
  • 2 cups gluten free oat flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp Seasoned Salt Mix
  • Enough oil for frying

Peel and slice onions into rounds.

Mix all ingredients (except oil) in a bowl until combined.  Add sliced onions. Toss to coat all pieces.

Carefully heat oil in medium sized pot.  Be very careful that the oil is not more than 1/2 way up the side of the pot.  You do not want to have an overflow of hot oil.  That is not good.

Fry the onion rings on medium heat 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.  Remove to a tray lined with a cookie sheet, or paper.

Sprinkle with salt and enjoy!!

Simple and easy to do!
So crunchy!

Go ahead, make some today.  You know you want to.
